Dr. Jeff Summers

These are just a few words patients use to describe Dr. Jeff Summers.
Originally from Anchorage, AK and a one-time Olympic hopeful in ice hockey, Dr. Summers is driven in the pursuit of fulfilling our mission to deliver unparalleled customer service in a friendly environment while providing the highest level of personalized orthodontic treatment to obtain exceptional results. Every step of his training, from Clemson University to the Medical University of SC, to the Medical College of GA has been in preparation to build an amazing orthodontic practice for all patients. Few others continue their pursuit as Dr. Summers to remain on the forefront of technology and advancements in orthodontics. He remains a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for the orthodontic industry and a member of exclusive, prestigious groups via invitation only such as the Schulman Group and the Ormco Insiders. These distinctions are shared by approximately 100 members each worldwide, three of which are in SC, but no others in Greenville. These allow Dr. Summers to work alongside the brightest minds in the world and bring that education and technology home to the Upstate. Dr. Summers does Beta testing and FDA-approval documentation for the latest advancements and has been amongst the first in the world to introduce this technology to his patients. As such, he is sought-out lecturer and educator as a Damon System Champion. Dr. Summers is a member of all the local and regional dental and orthodontic societies and is a Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists.

Dr. Summers - Family
While his career biography may be impressive, Dr. Summers is most proud of his faith and family. He is an active member in the church, been married for more than two decades, and a father of four children, two boys and two girls who are active in sports of all varieties. He will always lead with his faith and you can be assured he will make all decisions based on the notion of what he would do if your family member were one of his own. At such an active stage in his life, there is little down time! When the opportunity exists, Dr. Summers enjoys fitness, running, reading, and travel with his family.
Dr. John Ensley
Dr. John Ensley is a dedicated orthodontist with a passion for providing high-quality, evidence based, personalized care to his patients. With a strong educational background that includes a BSA in Avian Biology from the University of Georgia and a DMD from Georgia Regents University, Dr. Ensley has continually advanced his expertise through specialized training. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Eglin AFB, FL, and earned his MS in Oral Biology from Uniformed Services University. Additionally, he holds a Certificate in Orthodontics from the prestigious Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 2021.

Dr. Ensley- Family
Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Ensley enjoys spending time with his wife, Beth, and their three children—two boys and two girls. His family loves outdoor activities like camping and hiking, and he enjoys competing with his brothers in disc golf. A fan of baseball and college football, Dr. Ensley supports the Atlanta Braves and the University of Georgia Bulldogs. He also enjoys reading and listening to audiobooks. The Ensley’s are deeply involved in their church, Woodruff Road Presbyterian Church, and Dr. Ensley volunteers as a Trail Life patrol leader for his son’s group.

I was born in a small town in NC and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Dental Hygiene. I have an amazing daughter who is my pride and joy. She attends Anderson University where she is pursuing a degree in nursing.
Most of my spare time is spent with my family. I have a pretty big family, so we always have a ton of fun when we are together.

Lauren
Lauren earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Cal State Long Beach in 2023 and is on track to graduate in May 2025 with a Master of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at San Francisco State University. Her graduate studies focus on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Autism/Neurodiversity-Affirming Care. Lauren brought valuable expertise as a member of a multidisciplinary school team, providing trauma-informed, connection-centered care and supporting culturally diverse families. A standout moment in her early career was collaborating with the Recife Board of Education, ComunicaTea, and the University of Pernambuco to promote accessible communication and inclusion in Brazilian schools during her international service trip with the Nika Project. Lauren is deeply passionate about empowering gestalt language processors, applying co-regulation techniques, and incorporating DIR approaches. She has a strong commitment to serving autistic individuals and AAC users, fostering meaningful communication and self-advocacy.
